BP Rolls' Mobile fleet Technician team require a number of Level 3 qualified Night Shift Technicians, to support the expanding operations across the UK.

Mobile Vehicle Technician – Night Shift

Locations required:

  • North West Region,
  • Hull & surrounding area
  • Andover, Hampshire
  • Aylesford, Kent ( South East region)

Shift Pattern: 4 Nights On / 4 Nights Off

The Role

BP Rolls Fleet Mobile Division is looking for experienced and professional Mobile Vehicle Technicians to join our team, who are located in, or abe to cover the above regions, on a 4 nights on / 4 nights off rotation.

Working as part of a dedicated mobile fleet technical support operation, you will join an established team of c. 50 UK wide Mobile technicians, playing a vital role in keeping National fleets of LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) home-shopping vehicles repaired, safe, reliable, maintained and on the road.

Applicants must have successfully achieved a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification. This is an essential requirement for the role.

We are looking for skilled vehicle technicians who are confident diagnosing and repairing vehicles, enjoy working independently and understands the importance of keeping commercial vehicles operational.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on a fleet of LCVs in the field and on site at store locations.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
  • Carry out servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and kept on the road with minimal downtime.
  • Complete accurate digital job sheets and maintenance records.
  • Liaise effectively with fleet and operational teams to ensure continuity of priorities and required response levels.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.

About You

  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification – achieved and essential.
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mobile Technician, Fleet Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • Experience working with LCVs, vans or commercial fleet vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using modern vehicle diagnostic equipment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet work collectively as a wider dynamic team.
  • A methodical and professional approach to vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal teams.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, highly organised and comfortable working independently during night hours of 20:00 – 08:00.
