MET Technician – BP Rolls Group, Hull Depot

Due to increased demand, BP Rolls Hull is investing in additional headcount and specifically seeking an additional qualified & experienced MET Technician to join the team.

Within the role you will be dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles in line with manufacturers’ specifications and to the high standards expected by our customers, using modern processes and equipment.

Our Hull Depot is a very established business for both our Commercial and Private customers. This is a new role, as we invest in additional headcount to serve our increase in demand for our quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will possess strong previous MET experience, be a willing team player and be driven by results and positive output.

The role offers excellent opportunity for personal growth through training and development with recognised industry partners.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs
  • Dismantling vehicles ready for the repair work
  • Carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work
  • Liaising with our parts team to order replacement parts
  • Re-assembling & fitting the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition.
  • Planning your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales, working skilfully, efficiently and safely.
  • Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification.
  • Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
  • You will ensure that all tasks carried out follow all required Health and Safety guidelines.

Person Specification

ATA/NVQ Level 3/City Guilds qualification required - a minimum of 3 years’ experience of MET stripping & fitting. Electric vehicle experience would also be beneficial

  • Demonstrate good communication and skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and also under your own initiative when required.
  • Be well organised with excellent time management, focussed on optimum performance delivery.
  • A mature & pro-active problem solver.
